Metabolism: You've probably went on a fad metabolism diet and messed your metabolism up even more because the body likes homeostasis and being in a predictable state. These fad diets are not longterm therefore your metabolism wont benefit. You don't need to spike your insulin every 2 hours to maintain a high metabolism. All that really does when you forcefully eat every 2 hours is train your body to use food for energy instead of fat. In which diets objectives are to help you lose fat and the honest to gosh truth that you cant find a loophole in is that a deficit is the only way to fatloss. A deficit requires hormones specifically fat burning hormones not calories. Did are ancestors do these weird diets? I mean from a neurobiological, DNA, hormonal level we are still the same being as 7 generations back so in order to not confuse the body and stay vibrant we need to abstain from the fad diets and actually create a real deficit that is maintainable longterm.
Create a metabolism boosting deficit without gorging yourself with food you may not even need. Without overconsuming energy and underconsuming nutrients. What I'm talking about is getting fed nutrients not energy. Getting fed nutrients from your fat. Not spiking insulin every two hours but only eating once or twice a day makes insulin lower and therefore your able to tap into your fat. Depending on how much fat you have you can do this low calorie high nutrients one or two meals a day for 2 or 3 months than achieve metabolic flexibility by just eating based of your bodies needs. Eating in a surplus and than eating in a deficit both will make you metabolisms flexible and healthy.
Metabolism is not the key to change or being healthy but tuning into your instincts like with using fat for energy that you likely have stored on you. Intermittent fasting = fat loss. If you haven't got results with this your likely not actually intermittent fasting correctly. The whole point of this overextension of fasting because you already periodically fast 8 hours everynight is to have better digestion and to give your digestive system a time to recuperate from the years of everyday piling of food through it. IF = fatloss only if your using it for a deficit or you can use it to gain muscle. Really know which one your aiming at. Short story short when you fast you increase insulin sensitivity meaning when you break the fast your body will be more sensitive to protein and it will want to maintain it's muscle mass better. Are bodies don't want to eat our own muscle. While your sleeping for 8 hours fasting eating your fat while you sleep every night you aren't breaking down muscle but actually rearing and preserving it as your body eats it's stored food to fuel your repair process as you sleep. This is how you gain muscle with IF.
To optimally lose fat with IF you need to be more catabolic than anabolic meaning you need to break yourself down more by moving more and eating less while doing IF. Your hunger will go away at least the hunger hormones leptin if your taping into your fat for energy. To optimally gain muscle you need to be in a anabolic state where you sit around and eat healthy proteins and get quality sleep. Triggering building hormones you do by being anabolic and not doing to much cardio. What I briefly went over may not make the most sense in your head. But I don't want to overcomplicate it. These are big lessons I had to learn the hard way. Don't look for other methods of gaining muscle or losing fat. Simply put it's about when it's about are hormones and every other diet is just not a ancestral approach and they don't optimize your hormones like IF does.
80/20 Lie
This lie dictates that 80% of your health relies on eating and 20% relies on exercise. Considering the amount of time people spend eating and the frequency which is really what matters would mean that since a lot of people spend 1 hour or more a day eating. Daily you'd have to spend 20 minutes or more exercising to maintain 80/20. You'd have to do 20minutes of tough exercise daily. Than the CDC says everyday you should get 1 hour of physical activity like walking, sports, and playing which are all no tough exercises. Sports for most like myself doesn't fall within the, "tough exercise." category.
The truth is that 95% of your body compostition is based of what you consume and only 5% is based of the physical labor you put your body through. Diet or in latin diet means lifestyle should consist of eating good and consuming good air and moving throughout the whole day. Your way of life should consist of low level physical activity throughtout the whole day like what are ancestors did. Are DNA loves to lift heavy things and to walk. Througout the whole entire day as a lifestyle. If you did 100 dips, squats, pullups, and pushups a day vs. just 75 pullups, squats, dips, and pushups cumulatively added up througout the week you'd be a ancestral beast and ripped! If you have the mentality that 3 hard gym sessions a week will make you fit your bound for destruction. If you sit most of the week your bound for destruction. The hardest workout given that 95% of are body is based of what we cosume is than consumption. Thats where the focus and consistency needs to come from. Going hard every gym session detroying your muscles instead of stimulating a growth response will mean you'll have higher stress hormones it means you'll also than eat more and recover poorly. Diet lifestyle: a way of life instead of eating prepared dieted meal overcome this thorugh a lifestyle approach longterm approach. How? Just praise. Actually live and enjoy life what I can say that works for feeling better because thats the pint in health is to praise after a meal or after a workout. It's way more fullfilling than once in a while feedingings. You can praise whenever and wherever. It takes longer to stop praising than it does to stop eating. with lifestyle Love needs to be maintained. Community helping others. Stop focusing on the minutia and start focusing on the bigger picture. Whats your MTP and focus on that the most not a single meal. Love = no hunger. You Are What You Eat Lie
You are what you think. It's all psychological when it comes to health, not physiological. Are bodies don't know what calories are but are brains do. I just had the realization that what if I actually listened to my body and spent a whole hour eating with everymeal. Even good food, not fake sugar. Well I'd be fit I'd actually be tuning into my instincts. I don't know what it is about me but when it comes to vegetables I have a never ending hunger for them seriously and it is kind of a burden.
The only reason why you'd be unhealthy is if you overconsumed energy and underconsumed nutrients in a meal like eating something processed. You arnt getting any real actual beneficial natural nutrition from a high fructose corn syrup infested bowl of fortified cereal. Most cereals #1 ingredient is sugar! It's most prevalent. Carbs arnt the highest thing in cereal but sugar. Usually in health labeled products one third of there weight comes from sugar so this means no matter how much you've heard about what this new bar can do the fact is that it's processed and therefore not a health food.

It's because an apple by itself is how we evolved eating. We evolved just eating an apple by itself we didn't mix foods. Your increasing your nutritional debt when you do this and your setting yourself up for a greater risk of disease.
An apple only takes 20 minutes to leave the stomach so you don't need to clog your digestion by eating meat which takes 2 hours to digest with a apple that takes 1/6 of the time. Your not digesting food properly when you mix a ton of different food groups which all have a different GI(glycemic index)

Why I say your only fasting for 10-12 hours is because it takes about 4-6 hours for the food you ate to be used or converted into fat or muscle than when you have no more food to digest your insulin lowers and you start to enter into ketosis or fat burning mode where your burning the ketones (fat stored) from the meal you ate. You can see now why your only fasting for about 10-12 hours. Your only getting 10-12hrs of autophagy: the body eating it's own bad cells.
Everyone Needs to Drink 8 Glasses of Water Lie
Not everyone needs that much water given that their body is very efficient at using water. Not everyone needs to eat as often as others given that their body is efficient at pulling energy from very little fat. Start accomplishing living everyday with the sheer most focus and also stress management which will bring up the sheer focus which will bring up the big picture in life which will bring down the minutia like food, which will bring up emotion that gives life to our thoughts and fuels are behavior. It's a good idea to tune into your instincts and make use of feasting and fasting states therefore having optimized hormones which is really what matters in the longterm not the slowing of your metabolism and losing water weight which is perceived by people as fat lie.
When you truly lose fat and your hormones are optimized you wont be subject to yo yo dieting where you diet and lose weight not fat than you gain it back. This fatloss that diets sell is really just making you have a slower metabolism and making you only be able to use food instead of fat for energy. When you eat everytime the food gets turned into glucose for energy. And when this happens your insulin spikes. I'm not gonna go any more into the nitty gritty but basically insulin spiking every time you eat causes insulin resistance henceforth diabetes. Your body no longer wants to produce the hormone insulin. Or produce your fat burning hormone leptin and instead it chooses to raise grelin and your stuck always hungry never being able to truly tune into your instincts and start using a great efficient source of every your fat. Conclusively the hormones = fatloss.

If you have a fat doctor helping you immediately leave. The doctor doesn't want to help you because they can't help themselves. That may be a harsh truth, but your internal world is a reflection of your external world. The fatter you are studies show the less intelligent you are. When your not in a SNS sympathetic nervous system state of fasting where your using your adipose tissue for unlimited energy pretty much, unlimited productivity, and unlimited creativity.
